World War 1 Neighborhood Tour and Centennial Celebration
June 23 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Join us for an exterior walking tour in celebration of the 100th birthday of our nationally significant Would War 1 neighborhoods. You will learn about the U.S. Housing Corporation, architects Olof Cervin and Ben Horn, hear the story of how the homes were built during cold winter months, see copies of the original architectural drawings, and enjoy a piece of birthday cake.
Tours will begin at the corner of 18th Avenue and 39th Street with groups leaving about every 30 minutes. The last tour will start at 3:30pm. For more information check our Facebook page.
